A 12-Week Guide to Empower Yourself and Step into 2025 with Purpose

As the last quarter of the year begins, it’s the perfect time to slow down, reflect, and prepare for the year ahead.


Midlife is a powerful stage where you hold a wealth of experience and wisdom, and this last stretch of the year can be the opportunity to step into the next year with intention and confidence.


This blog post will guide you through the months of October, November, and December, providing you with weekly activities designed to help you set powerful intentions, gain clarity about your goals, and open yourself to prosperity.


All you need is a journal and an open heart.


October: Setting Intentions

Setting intentions is like planting seeds for the life you want to grow. It’s not just about goals—it’s about aligning with how you want to feel and what truly matters to you. Here’s how to lay the foundation for an intentional 2025.


Week 1: Get Your Journal

Start this journey by choosing a journal that resonates with you. Maybe it's a fancy leather-bound notebook or something colorful and playful. Let this journal symbolize the important inner work you’ll be doing. Setting the tone with a special journal helps signal to yourself that you’re committing to a process of transformation and growth.


Activity: Find or create a journal that excites you. Write down your intention for using it through this journey.


Week 2: Define How You Want to Feel

Take a moment to consider how you want to feel in 2025. It’s easy to focus on what we want to achieve, but it’s just as important to focus on our feelings. Do you want to feel more confident, joyful, or at peace? Defining your desired feelings will help guide your decisions moving forward.


Activity: In your journal, write down three words that describe how you want to feel in the new year. For each word, jot down a few ways you can foster that feeling.


Week 3: Forgive Yourself for What Didn’t Happen in 2024

We all have moments when we fall short of our expectations. It’s important to let go of any guilt or disappointment you may feel about unmet goals. This is a time to forgive yourself, learn from what didn’t go as planned, and move forward with grace.


Activity: Write a letter of forgiveness to yourself. Let go of the weight of things you didn’t achieve and focus on what you learned from those experiences.


Week 4: Set Your Intentions for 2025

Now that you’ve reflected on how you want to feel and released any lingering guilt, it’s time to set your intentions for the upcoming year. These aren’t just goals, but a vision for how you want your life to align with your values and desires.


Activity: Write down three to five intentions for 2025. Keep these intentions close to your heart, and know that they can evolve as you do.


November: Gaining Clarity

After setting your intentions in October, November is about getting crystal clear on what you want to achieve and why. This month is dedicated to refining your vision so you can take purposeful action in the new year.


Week 5: Revisit Your Intentions

Look back at the intentions you set in October. Are they still in alignment with your values and desires? Sometimes, clarity comes after reflection, so this week, fine-tune any intentions that may need adjusting.


Activity: Spend time journaling about each of your intentions. Ask yourself, “Is this still what I truly want?” and adjust as needed.


Week 6: Get Clear on What You Want to Achieve

Now it’s time to get specific. What exactly do you want to achieve in 2025? Break down your intentions into clear goals that are measurable and attainable. The more detailed you are, the easier it will be to create a plan for success.


Activity: Write down three major goals you want to achieve in 2025. Be specific about what you want and when you want to accomplish it.


Week 7: Identify the Why Behind Your Goals

Understanding why you want to achieve something is just as important as the goal itself. Your “why” will be your motivation when things get tough. It will also help you stay aligned with your deeper values.


Activity: For each of your three goals, write down the reason you want to achieve it. Ask yourself how it will impact your life and the lives of others.


Week 8: Map Out the Steps

Once you have clarity on your goals and your “why,” the next step is creating a roadmap. Break your big goals into smaller, actionable steps. This will make your goals feel less overwhelming and more achievable.


Activity: In your journal, write down the first step you need to take for each goal. Then, list the following steps you can take to keep momentum going.


December: Allowing Prosperity

December is the month to open yourself up to receiving prosperity in all its forms—financially, emotionally, and spiritually. To truly allow prosperity, you must first believe you are worthy of it. This month’s theme is about aligning your mindset with abundance and preparing yourself to receive the fruits of your intentions and hard work.


Week 9: Believe You Are Worthy

One of the biggest blocks to prosperity is not feeling worthy. It’s time to change that mindset. You are worthy of abundance, success, and happiness, and you must believe it to invite it into your life.


Activity: Write down five reasons why you are worthy of receiving prosperity. Review this list often to remind yourself of your worth.


Week 10: Open Yourself to Receiving

Prosperity comes in many forms. Are you open to receiving all that the universe has to offer? Sometimes we unintentionally block blessings by feeling undeserving or being too focused on only one outcome. This week is about opening yourself to possibilities.


Activity: Write down one area of your life where you’ve been resistant to receiving abundance. Explore why you’ve been resistant and how you can open yourself up to receiving more.


Week 11: Align Your Energy with Abundance

To allow prosperity into your life, you need to align your energy with abundance. This means focusing on what you have, being grateful, and trusting that more will come.


Activity: Start a daily gratitude practice. Write down three things you’re grateful for each day and reflect on how abundance already exists in your life.


Week 12: Celebrate Your Progress

As the year comes to a close, take time to celebrate how far you’ve come. Whether you’ve achieved all your goals or not, the journey itself is worth celebrating. By honoring your progress, you create space for more growth and prosperity in the new year.


Activity: Write a letter to yourself reflecting on your progress this year. Celebrate your wins, acknowledge your lessons, and express gratitude for your growth.
